1982  - graduated from the 10^th grade of  Moscow secondary school № 180;
July 8, 1988 – graduated from the doctor faculty (for Air Force) of the Military-medical academy named after S.M. Kirov with the military doctor diploma and «Therapeutic practice» specialty;
November 10, 1988 – December 9, 1990 – passed a  training course in the Central military science-research aviation hospital (CVNIAG), where he had studied the methods of the flying personnel examination in the pressure chamber and was allowed to perform an unrestricted work on SBK-80 pressure chamber to support cosmonauts’ altitude exercise;
1992 – graduated from the Moscow industrial property and innovation institute with «patent practice» specialty;
1996-1998 – studied and graduated from Kacha VVAUL non-residence with «pilot-engineer» specialty.
OCCUPATION BEFORE JOINING COSMONAUT CORPS:
since July 8, 1988 – leading doctor assistant of the GCTC 3^rd department. Conducted training on the individual tolerance to the different levels of atmosphere rarity, trained Orbital Complex MIR crews;
since March 17, 1993 – leading test-doctor - Higher Senior Officer of GCTC 1^st  Science research institute. Worked as a biomedical training instructor for MIR station crews, was ЭО-20 crew flight surgeon.
DATE OF JOINING COSMONAUT CORPS (GROUP NUMBER, DATE):
February 9, 1996 - State joint committee decision recommended him to assign to the GCTC cosmonaut corps (assigned additionally after 11^th enlistment);
June 7, 1996 - by the Russian Ministry Air Force order was assigned as a test cosmonaut candidate to the GCTC cosmonaut corps;
since July 22, 1998 - test cosmonaut.
RATING: officer-diver.
BACK-UP ACTIVITY:
May 6 – July 1998 - test cosmonaut of the ЭО-26 back up crew together with S. Zaletin and A. Kaleri.
August 13 1998 – back up of «Soyuz ТМ-28» test cosmonaut Yu. Baturin.
since 2001 – assigned as flight engineer-1 and pilot of the ISS-6 back up crew together with C. Noriega and D. Petit.
October 2002 – March 2003 trained in VC-5 back up crew with P. Vinogradov as "Soyuz ТМА" commander.
February 2004 – October 2005 trained in ISS-13 back up crew as ISS flight engineer and "Soyuz ТМА" commander.
Since January 2006 is training in ISS-15 primary crew as "Soyuz ТМА" commander, ISS flight engineer.
SPACE FLIGHTS PERFORMED:
1 flight – since April 7, 2007 till as "Soyuz ТМА-10" commander and ISS flight engineer-1 together with Yurchikhin F.N. ("Soyuz ТМА-10" flight engineer, ISS commander),  Charles Simonyi (space flight participant), Williams Sunita Lin (ISS flight engineer-2).
