HYDRO LAB

 
The hydro lab is one of GCTC’s training installations that comprises technological systems and equipment, different devices for health monitoring and also special comm., TV, video recording, lighting, automatic data processing, air and oxygen supply systems, cranes, electrical devices.
The hydro lab is designed to test space objects models, perform cosmonaut training and experiment research in the condition of the simulated micro gravity.

The idea of hydro training is to perform an ergonomic evaluation of space techniques, make sure that certain operator’s procedures can be really used in space and practice cosmonaut training procedures and methodic.

The hydro lab was opened on January 28, 1980.

Hydro lab Reservoir volume is 5000 m3.
Reservoir water temperature is 30±5° C.
